I have so much respect for some straight guys.

In two days I will have left this island and be on my way to Oakland, CA.

This is both disheartening and exciting…. I’m hoping for a safe flight home, and just hoping I don’t cry so much I won’t be able to see in front of me. I hope my sister and her boyfriend understand when I say I won’t be having dinner with them when we get back, because I have had that night planned since the moment I left. I can’t wait to be in your arms, you holding me so tight, being able to kiss you again. FINALLY. It’s been so difficult, but we’re finally going to be done with this hurdle. I could not feel more confident about the direction we’re taking this. I’m so happy, so…. Ecstatic. I just can’t wait to see you again. My heart will finally feel whole again, and I’ll be with the one person I’ve missed the most out of these three weeks…

I want you as my friend and I’m telling you how I felt, but all you do is go along with what I say. That’s just giving me the answer I didn’t want. I said if people want me in their lives, they’d make the effort to keep me there…. And what happened? You didn’t. It does make me sad. Truly. You make time and effort for others, but not me. Even though I am apparently so highly regarded by you…. I just have to deal with these emotions and let them go. My life is headed in an upward direction, and I won’t have it being slowed down.

I’m so happy with where things are going. For me and my family, for me and people at work, me and my friends, and especially Adam and I… I’m doing my best for those that I care about, and also those who care about me. It’s not a one way street, and I won’t be going down one again.
