Dear Future Boyfriend.

I keep seeing “Dear Future Girlfriend” over and over, from Brenda’s Tumblr, and I can’t help but want to put my ideas out there.

If you were my boyfriend, you’d be in for a ride. Things would never be boring. We would always look for places to go, restaurants to eat at. I would cook for you, even though it might turn out terribly. Yet you’d probably come into the kitchen to help me, and we’d both just make such a mess. It’d be so memorable and fun.

I would take you shopping, even if it is just to see you in the best clothes ever. Just to look together, to hold hands with you as we’re walking around. I would want to show the world the person I get to share myself with. The one I choose to give myself to.

I’d want you to meet my friends, for they are such a big part of my life. They’re my life support, always there when I need them.

I’m not saying I need a boyfriend or even really want one. Yeah, it’d be nice, but until a guy proves to me that he’s worthy of my time, I’m flying solo.

Just know, I’d give you the world. I’d light up the sky for you, be the warmth when the chilly wind is blowing, be there for you when you call. I’d turn your world upside-down, and it’d never be the same.
